I may have finally found a engine and need to know fitting details eg distances and position of sterntube and p-bracket for cutting hole in the hull? Has anyone got original build plans? If I can get these then fitting everything else will be on probs.

Not sure if there are any plans available and there are many different engines that have been fitted to GK24's over the years (yanmar, petter, beta, etc). You may be best to find a couple of GK's with engines and get your tape measure out. I'm sure if you ask here you will get plenty of offers.

I can probably measure up Forethought which has a Yanmar 1GM and has a 13X8 propellor which clears the skeg. It all fits quite nicely.

It was professionally fitted 23 years ago...

I can take specific measurements inside the hull but outside is a little wet.

Inside measurements would be great.

I will be down the boat this weekend not sailing but preparing for the summer cruise and I will be able to take the measurements from the boat.

I will try to measure anything that makes it possible to determine the position and angle of the engine within the engine compartment. Also the stern tube position etc.

I will take a digital camera as well to record the general layout and put the results up on my website.
