Without appearing to be a smart arse never actually needed the No 2 for a fractional rig. If we cant carry the No 1 (up to 22 Knots), we throw up the No 3 and seems to be just fine and lose nothing against the fleet. Perhaps a thought and potential money saver?

I was going to say the same thing. Sailed mine for 16 years and reckon I only missed a number 2 on maybe 2 occasions.
It's a poor sail for the fractional rig boat anyway as the sheeting position is just by the shroud base. You can't run the sheets inboard of the shroud plates cos the sail rubs, so you need to fit an additional track outboard of them. Then the sheeting angle is too wide and you can't point properly.

I bought the boat with a 150% and a 100% genoa and a storm jib.
I helpfully wrote '2' on the smaller sail. Then I bought a real number 2 and realised the previous holder of that position was actually a number 3.
So the sail sizes are No.1: 150% mylar/taffeta (1996) No.2: 135% pentex/mylar/taffeta (IRC rule change 1997 !) No.3: 100% 27yr old Westerly bag dacron Storm Jib : 27 yr old in quite good condition ...
The No.1 and No.2 sheet aft of the shrouds. The No.3 has to sheet from inboard of the shrouds.
I use towed cars where I can move the forward fixed towing point along the track as well. I move it aft inboard of the shrouds when using the larger sails because I had several incidents of jib sheets getting trapped round the block holding the towing line. I only take it to the end of the track for the number 3. This also minimises the amount of line in the cockpit when the car is fully forward.
When we are cruising we often leave the No.1 behind as we put the engine on if the wind is light enough for the No.1: My wife likes to do passages quickly. The number 2 is much more substantial : partly the weight of the cloth, partly the Pentex.
A 1995 vintage Mouse sails dacron mainsail blew out of shape in about 3 years. My Parker & Kay/Quantum sails are a bit stretched but usable after 10 years.
