Chuckles Too will be at the Round the Island Race this year, we've just booked into East Cowes marina this morning.

It would appear that we'll be in the IRC class judging on what Chris says and no way around it.

Is anybody else thinking of going?

Despite telling everyone about East Cowes Marina's bookings opening in January, I managed to leave it till I was too late to get a confirmed booking. So I'm number 125 or so on the list with numbers up to 100 confirmed.
I have at least entered the RTI before Saturdays 'cheap £3 discount' early entry offer expires.

Hopefully we will be there to join the party at ECM before we end up outside someone in the marina who will will insist on leaving the marina in the pouring rain at 0300 to join the race to the sleepy throng anchored in Poole Bay waiting for the wind and tide to turn and all the later starters to pile down on top of them.

And then to drown our sorrows or celebrate on Saturday in Cowes as well.

Four GKs in the ISC group. Only us in the IRC.

I have already had a bad dream in which at 0600 on the morning of the RTI , Forethought was high and dry up a river somewhere.
