Any suggestions appreciated as to a suitable inboard for Snekke? She has signs of having previously had an inboard but I've no idea what. There are presently two vertical bearer plates and the remains of a prop shaft fitting. Mostly thinking of a Yanmar 1GM but any other ideas welcome. Any idea whether a Yanmar YSE 8 would fit?

my honest opinion, opt for the 1GM, its a fantastic, reliable, quiet and economical engine. the yse 8 and 12 engines are equally reliable, but louder, heavier and generally an older design.
