While Duellist II is now owned by Ian Prout our thanks to Keith Fletcher for the pictures and a little history on Duellist II. Keith also spotted a GK24, “Slingshot”, moored in Singapore at the Changi Sailing Club.

Duellist was the only 24 with a non-white hull straight from the mould - she was navy blue, and was used for Westerly's full page ads inside the back cover of Y&Y in the late 70's. She was based at Exemouth in the ‘80's, and competed in the Falmouth Regatta against the local fleet.

Owner Ian Prout has told us that the photographs below show an inboard engine, this was taken out for racing purposes, though it is not clear by who, or when. It now has a Yamaha 5HP two stroke outboard. Hull number is 218 (Ian has the original Lloyds Register of Shipping hull construction certificate). Fractional rig. Sail number K7140.
